Fighting a fierce hangover and disappointment and would rather be in bed ..so apologies if i dont sound too keen or sincere enough.

When Goodes kicked that fastbreak goal at the very start of the last qtr i was thinking "we're gonna finish all over u bastards !! "...but we couldnt...the weagles had earnt their lead and showed every ounce of guts u could ask for to hold on when it truly mattered.

Hard to feel anything but disappointment at this moment but at least i know we lost to the best team of 2006....and forget the 1 pt margin coz for these two teams 1pt is as good as a 5 goal win.

Disappointed obviously...but the better team won an epic.

No idea what has sponsored the rivalry or why these two teams produce the ultimate spectacle.....lots to feel proud of tho for both clubs.

Look forward to more of these games next year...nothing beats watching the two best teams play games like the ones we've seen in the last cpl of years.

Certainly were the best year, congrats.

When it was deep in the 4th quarter see sawing between 7pts and 1 pt, I turned to my mates and I go "I love footy".

Thanks for that. The Swans are a very good, uncompromising and tough side and their supporters have a lot to admire.
These games are so damn close now. The last two each decided by a point. Maybe the next two will be draws?

The all time best GF!!! Congratulations to WCE. Almost pipped in last 1/4, if they had lost to sydney they would of had probally a barage of abuse from their supporters and media but they won and are now the current premiers.
Next year i predict these two teams to play off yet again, still got young teams.

Yep , Eagles deserve to win .
Best team for 2006 .
Hall and Roos were outcoached so Roos cant say Hall had a bad day .Eagles had a defensive plan which stopped Hall and Roos didnt have plan B or C to counter the Eagles plan .
Well done Eagles and Daniel Chick on the best 1% of the year .
His smother , tap , handball and sheperd for Hunter to goal was amazing and i hope many coaches show the kids or older players they coach that Chick play ,it was a classic .

MASSIVE browny pts for a 1pt win and MASSIVE shytcanning if they lost again....thats footy tho and the way it should be....winners are grinners and there's next yr for the rest of us.

Cant wait for Robert Walls to do the inevitable bagging of the loser and try to explain the intracacies of a 1pt game.
