why is that so hard to believe?

their game styles are almost identical, same size, skill level, agility, marking etc. the only difference was warnock was not as physicaly developed at the same age, hence his low draft position

It's harder to knock my 15 month old off when he's going for his milk than it is to knock Warnock off the ball.

Would be a good player at Telstra Dome where he wouldn't have trouble standing up straight due to the breeze.

St Kilda got him for next to nothing, and even though he doesn't have many years left in him, he mite have been quite handy. Just a thought.

wasnt warnock pick 35? surely we shouldnt give up a first rounder for him. in his career, albeit a relatively short one, he has shown next to nothing.
he is tall yes, but if we just wanted height why dont we go and draft a 7 foot college basketballer.
the fact of the matter is that he is struggling to get a game at freo, which is a fairly souring indictment on him as a footballer.

Im willing to wait for our kids to develop and keep our picks and use them to gain more quality kids then clean out the hacks such as Aisake,Saddington,Ackland,Russel,blackwell, etc as we progress.

Geelong and Hawthorn are the blue print.

I'm on the Warnock bandwagon too. Will improve our fortunes considerably next year as he too will have another pre-season under his belt. And like other players that move clubs, he will put his head down and do the hard yards to prove himself to the new club!

I was being a bit harsh on the previous page about Warnock.

I think he would be o.k., but I don't want to pay too much to get him.

Harvey will be an absolute hard ass about trading (unless we can offer him some old ex hack bomber teamates) and he will probably want a top 20 pick for Warnock.

The Dees will have pick 17 and 19 or 18 and 20 by the looks of things. Given his brother is already there, I think they are "in the box seat" to get him.

We could offer pick 25 or so, but we may need to offer a player, even Benjamin might do. Add some pace to their midfield........kicking skills on par with Solomon.......plenty of upside........get him back home.

Maybe Benji and second or third round pick?

Geelong got Ottens from Richmond
Hawthorn got Everit from St Kilda and only let him go reluctantly.

Its going to be very difficult to find a good ruckman from another club. There are never many going around and there aren't that many good ruckmen in the league full stop. We have seen it before with French, Mclaren, Ackland etc.

Meesen has been terrible (and I imagine Melbourne will be after Wornock), Wood has been ok, King and Gardiner struggle with injuries. Hudson has been ok/pretty good (I think?).

Don't know that Warnock is the saviour? Don't know if he is that good, but in any case is under development just like Kreuzer, Hampson, Jacobs.

Carlton's achilles heel of the last decade has been trading for ruckmen.
We got Justin Madden right, since then its been all downhill.

The odds say we'll get it right eventually. The form says something different.

Actually, the fact of the matter is that he is a young developing ruckman who plays for the team with the tallest man to ever play the game who leads the league in hitouts by some margin (45 ahead of #2 & 120 ahead of #3). The game time and hitouts that he does achieve are a testament to the promise he shows as a ruckman at such a young age.

We only have one ex-bomber on our list and he is most certainly not a hack, although maybe an ex-hack but even so, he has come a long way in the past 2 years as a Blue

both Warnock & McKinley will cost us more than their real market price...

we should not give more than a 2nd rounder for either of them... if thats not the case then we dont need them
