It usually takes years for players to get to AFL standard. Look at our talls, they are really young. They need to to develop for at least another 2 years before we have any real idea of our current crop, not worrying about any new draftees. I reckon TV is a potential superstar, displays good skills, good footy nouse, great speed and athleticism, but is 10+ kgs underweight. His role requires him to be abkle to bang bodies, cause they will bang into him. Until he gets that weight he will always be a fish out of (AFL) water, Similarly for the other talls.

Whether we get a tall or mid at 4/6 we should pick best available. Midfields win premierships, talls are needed for structure. The better your talls the better your structure. But if you don't have a winning midfield you can't win even with guys like Broan and Fev.

So unless our brains trust thinks our current crop of talls is dodgy then I expect the RFC to go mid first round. Apparently there is real depth of solid KPs this draft. SO we will be able to get one or two decent guys later. FJs record on talls is great, so I'm happy for him tolook 5 years ahead and take who he thinks fits.

This years draft will be unlikely to have a real effect until 2014/5. If we get another Martin then I'm soooooo happy. But I don't expect that.
