I had to laugh everytime tipp got a mark in the forward 50, I swear he must have been a good 6 inches taller than the bloke who was marking him

McDermott made a good point on the radio. We're looking a lot more dangerous up forward now because we're not so one-dimensional anymore. Up forward you've got the big clunker in Tippett, but he can also chase down tackles. You have the marking ability and footy nous of Walker, and one-touch deftness and brilliant set shot of Porplyzia, the zip of Dangerfield who can also use his body to take a great mark, and now add Knights who protects the drop zone of the ball and reads the play beautifully and can snap it from anywhere within 75m. That's a ripper forward line. Amazingly Porplyzia is playing the worse of the lot of them.

Tippet taking 5 contested marks sure does make it easier to bomb it long. He was the only thing keeping us in the game in the 1st half. A forward line of Tip, Walker, Knights and Porps, with Stevens, Danger and Douglas also spending some time down there looks a lot more fluent than we have seen since 2006. A fit Rowdy or Burton would top it off nicely.

Just remember that the last 3 wins have come against teams with either undermanned (Hawks, Essendon) or just terrible (Carlton) backlines. Having said that I don't think it matters too much because the way we are scoring our goals are pretty hard to defend because we are creating the opportunities through hard work and forward line pressure. That and Knight's just decides to kick them from anywhere with in a 70m arc of the goals, hehe.
