Jack would be rapt if Brendan came to our club. NOT!
I doubt he will get picked up by anyone now. Noboyd would be that stupid. Oh hang on a sec, he will probably be sacked and then Voss will redraft him.

Lions statement on Brendan Fevola
The Brisbane Lions AFC today suspended forward Brendon Fevola indefinitely pending an investigation by the AFL.
The Club was advised of an incident alleging inappropriate behaviour including alleged indecent exposure involving Fevola at a non-Club function last weekend.
Lions Chief Executive Michael Bowers said a man had rung the Club to complain about Fevola’s inappropriate behaviour towards his wife when the couple and two of their four children were at a non-Club function where Fevola and several other Lions players were in attendance.
Mr Bowers said the Club spoke with the man and then immediately alerted the AFL who began an investigation into the incident. After speaking with AFL investigators the family also approached Queensland police.
“Respect and responsibility towards women is something that this Club thinks is non-negotiable. We feel that the allegation is a very serious one and we think if the behaviour is as described, then it's unacceptable behaviour for anyone in football," Mr Bowers said.
“While everyone is entitled to the presumption of innocence, the Brisbane Lions Football Club wants to make clear it is taking this incident seriously and feels the only proper course of action is to suspend Brendan immediately from all Club activity until such time as the AFL and police have had an opportunity to investigate the matter further."
“The Club will continue to cooperate fully with the AFL and any Queensland police investigation."
“As a result of the suspension, Brendan will not be attending our Club Champion event tomorrow night.”
Mr Bowers said there was no suggestion that the other players who were at the function had been involved in or had witnessed the alleged incident.

Considering the nature of this incident, the Club will wait until any investigations are complete before deciding on any further action.

I have already one person in the office say that if Richmond can recruit Ben Cousins, then we could have Fev.
Totally different set of circumstances. Cousins admitted he had problems. Fev hasn't.
Cousins, for all his faults, remains popular. Fev is universally detested.
Cousins has tried to rectify his faults. Fev keeps making them over and over.
Cousins offered leadership around the club. Fev makes nothing but trouble.

What a total knob-end this bloke is.

& what a total debacle of a trade it will be if events turn out as they may...
He goes to Brisbane for heaps of $$$$$$$... they lose Henderson who might end up OK... they lose Bradshaw & now Rischitelli too...

& now probably Fev gets punted after one very very shit year...

RAFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!

In one way, this is a good idea...It'd give us a quality second key forward for a few years, allowing Griff to develop gradually without the need to fast track him.

In every other way...OMG NOOOOO!

On field because both he and Jack are FF's, and while either could play CHF, they wouldn't be as good there.

Off field...well, the interbutt would grind to a halt if I tried to list all the reasons why not.

Cuz is hot, Fev is not.

We wish Cuz would flash himself at the female population, we wish Fev would put it away, for good. And stop naming helpless babies after 2 toilets.

has just overtaken Andrew Lovett as the worst trade in history.

Pick 12, Henderson, Rishcy & Bradshaw for less than 20 games of Fev.

AWESOME VOSS!!! suck an egg you arrogant little ranga

Dont see this ending all too well for this endearing knucklehead

On the outer with his club, his wife, ongoing issues with the booze and his behavior are recipe for a not so happy ending to probably more then his football career

Pretty sad for a bloke I once thought was a great player

Yes, we all know getting Fev down to Tigerland would be the worst idea in the history of the world, but did anyone actually read Calcium Man's post? He wasn't seriously suggesting we take him, he was just getting in before someone else did.

What a tool he is. Of course I don't wish it upon him....but I really hope we aren't hearing about a homeless Fevola in 10 years....no real intelligence or anything of the sort....and if he can't stop the gambling....he will have lost everything he had earned.

Would be very, very funny if Carlton re-drafted him! They woould win that reade by a mile!! Fev was injured for half the year anyway!!
Carlton: Gain - Pick 12, Henderson. Lose - 1 year of fev.
Brisbane: Gain: Fev for 1 year. Lose - Pick 12, Henderson, Rishcy & Bradshaw

This is just the chance Brisbane needed to jettison him after what was obviously a flawed and stupid decision and free up a lazy $750K on the salary cap without penalty. He is history.

Not the case, they didn't put any behavioral clauses in his contract, they can sack him but his pay will still be counted towards the salary cap.
