With all the talk about brad ottens, i think a much better trade would be for Damon white from Port. Hes out of contract at the end of the year and he is exactly the type of player the crows need. Besides hes 21 compared to otten's 24

What's the deal with Damon White anyway? I don't watch enough Power games to know him well; on the Power board I see some supporters are stroppy at Choco for not playing him more often. Is he undervalued at Port?

I was at Footy Park yesterday watching the Port - Melbourne game. It's the 3rd time I've seen him live and each time I've been impressed with this lad. He's a genuine AFL forward.

I'd love to have him, but I'm sure Port wouldn't trade him.

As I just posted in another thread, I think we should pursue Will Minson, I like his size and he's not shy of the tough hard footy either.

some of us just believe Choco should be playing him ahead of players that arent inform and dont seem to show as much as White does. hopefully with his efforts from last week and this week he'll keep a spot in the side.

Nah, _espoir. Damon will realise that he was pretty lucky to get a game and be happy to be sent back to North.

On the main issue, if most of us on the Port board had our way, he'd be in the team most weeks.

Sorry, would've made more sense on our board. Remember what Williams said about Damon after he kicked 3 goals earlier in the year and was then dropped the next week. I was being sarcastic. Obviously, not very successfully ;)

Keep away from Power players. If he was the next comin choco would be playing with him...anyone think he might have a bad attitude thats why he is not playing??

umm i think it is more that choco doesnt like to play the youngsters, look how long it took ebert to get in... i mean the kid played so well he won the Magery(sp??) medal last year and still couldnt crack a game and i think it is the same for white i would love to have him at the crows!

If you are in a full-fledged rebuilding mode, would it not make sense to look at players with a bit lower stock? You'd likely pay over the odds for White, which isn't the best idea for a club with scarce marketable assets at the current point in time. I dunno, maybe guys like Paul Johnson from WC or the aforementioned Will Minson.

You rebuild by making steals, not by paying over the odds.

Funny how Choco is seen as an out-and-out chump by fans of 15 (or 15 and a half) clubs, with good reason, and yet decisions like this one are taken as gospel. I bet he's got a "bad attitude", just like Brent Guerra

Will Minson would be a great get for either SA club.

Bresh, do you have first hand evidence of what Williams thought of Guerra, or what his attitude was like? Or did Choco just not play him because he was young and bald

As far as the club's point of view, Brian Cunningham has come out and said that the playing group is 'better off' for not having Guerra there. Of course, that is aside from the fact he's a gun goalsneak and tackler that we are absolutely crying out for...

i dont know about an attitude but guerra was arrogant as all hell use to see him out a bit.... and last year when the port players agreed not to drink during the finals him and stevens use to break this all the time!! i do think he had a pretty lousy attitude!

You could say the same thing about the crows being better off having angwin on the field each week, however if hes going to create off-field problems hes not worth it.
