Does anybody have the gos on Luke Webster.

Don't think he played last week for East Perth and not named again this week.
Is he injured? Why is he out of favour with freo? Was it that missed goal from straight in front of the box against the Hawks(i think?)??

He's a hard body, great decision maker and great kick. i reckon he should be on the bench at least...

Webster is an ordinary player who adds depth to a list.he is not really a best 22 player in any AFL team.

With Farmer and Schammer back, and with the addition of Tarrant and Solomon I can't see a spot for Webster. Thornton can also play the defensive half forward role, but is more versatile, has superior pace and is a better mark.

Webster's a handy depth player, but he's not going to get any better. If other teams are fielding offers I'd be willing to trade him for a late 2nd round or early 3rd round draft pick.

I agree with dom. Webster is a terrific bloke, but he is not best 22, and if other clubs are prepared to offer him more opportunities, and we can get a draft pick say around 30ish for him, them I say we should trade him.

He's almost a monty to be traded anyway - he won "Best Clubman" last year...

332 take a look at page 23 of the WAFL performances thread - IP posted that Webster was injured. I'm not sure that he has played since?

He has been the emergency player for Freo, and hence hasn't played.

Do you think you can find another position for a player who doesn't have to worry about an opponent? It's no wonder Richmond are so carp, all they want is Freo's discards!

I was actually calling Richmond carp - not Webster, or Polak for that matter. As IP and a few others have said, he is a good, solid player, but really only depth for us. If he can go and find more opportunities elsewhere, good luck to him, but I don't think his on-field worth will be missed too much.

Webster would have been great at the SCG today - but as usual Cuddles' doesnt rate Webster so he didnt get the gig.

I really feel for Webster - he has the goods, but he is being judged by a clown.

Last I heard Webster was injured...
