I must say, I had my doubts about him a few weeks back as did many other Pie fans. However, today he delivered reminding me of how good he can be. So, thank you Harry O, you have made me a believer again!

He was serviceable. But he has learned nothing this year compared to the young guns. He is still awkward and looses sight of the ball. He is also poor at going for the punch. He is our Achilles heal in the back-line.

I still get confused when people query O'Brien's form this season  he is playing in a depleted backline, and is constantly under attack from forward thrusts, I didn't expect him to be in AA form. Its funny what difference it makes having Shaw, Toovey and co back and around him, suddenly he is in people's good books. Of course he will be, he can now play his own game again.

I like him playing on taller opponents, he seems to really get his running game going. Has a nice record against West Coast.

He was very good, playing on Jack Darling.

I think one of the primary things that contributed to it, was him not playing as a loose defender. Stuck to his man the whole time and only charged out when he got hold of a contested mark, possession or turnover.

Was a lot better in the air as well.

I'm not sure what we did to Harry O, but he cannot play a bad game against us.

Didn't Harry grow up as an Essendon supporter living in Perth?

There's your explanation

There's no real surprise that Harry played his best game in a while in the same game that we got the good old "back six" back together.

Harry needs a good defense around him, and with Reid, Tooves and Shaw returning he could be the old attacking Harry instead of just worrying about his opponent all night.

It showed how important that back 6-7 players are to us, we need them all as a unit playing against the best sides.

Mentioned the same thing in another thread. Giddy up.
