I like the Eagles draft as the best out of anyones this year according to the picks you guys had to use, but imo getting Cavka at 66 is awesome, just the icing on the cake. I rated him top 35-40, a few big sliders in this year's draft and I think to get a guy of Cavka's level at 66 is a big win.

His last minute or so in that interview was excellent, he comes across as the consummate professional and a great kid fine young man.

Was nervous to start with but once he settled he spoke well. His press conference was a good two minutes longer than any of the others

At the risk of being branded as overly optimistic I was rapt when we pulled the trigger at # 66 .

He comes across as a kid with a steely determination... "I'll let my football do the talking'"......" it does give you a bit of motivation having gone so late in the draft, to prove some other wrong".

I remember when I first watched him play against WA , I said to my brother who was watching with me " Who the *^%# is number 11 for Vic Metro he just runs and runs and runs. He covered a huge amount of the ground that day and did it with pace.

I think we may have snared a beauty with Cavka.

I like the mixture of humility and determination mixed with a good helping of confidence.

Think he was a bit more nervous than the others TBH, but he's a kid so it'd be tough to hold that against him. Seemed to have the right attitude but some of the answers seemed a bit coached so as he said, let's give him a chance to show his value by playing.

Does he have the highest beep test at the club?
I think Brad Dalziell and Callum Chambers both were 16 or 16.1 ? 16.8 is great! better than Hartung from last year 16.6. Cavka looks and sounds impressive. This draft has put a bit of confidence back in me. On paper Lamb, Cavka and Duggan can all add something to us. Im hoping 1 or 2 push for games and force out a couple of fringe players not offering a lot.

Only just got around to watching this kid's presser. Impressed with his attitude as a lot of others have said. Seems like a genuinely appreciative kid and if he comes good seems quite loyal.

I'd say he's a fairly good chance to debut first out of our draftees. Has a solid body shape and with his elite endurance could come on as the sub and just run and run from the moment he comes on. I think we've got ourselves a beauty here.

I liked the fact he mentions that the endurance isn't an innate attribute, and that he's worked on it. Means he's not just an athlete who's trying to play footy.
