I must admit my first thought was keep Simpson at half back and get this guy onto one of the wings.
I like the cut of his jibe. Walls did say something about getting him further up the ground in his interview on day 1.
Happy though if we just run him off half back, it's just what to do with Simpson. The way he was kicking the ball in the few games he played last year was elite.
Hopefully he gets more of the ball and Ryan gets less of it and becomes more of a lock down. I am sick of watching Ryan hold the ball for an eternity then booting it down the line (usually to Cox who then kicks it back to him).

I refuse to call you "Juddy" but will you answer to "Dredd"?View attachment 2449215
Agreed. Ryan is alot better one on one then he gets credit forHopefully he gets more of the ball and Ryan gets less of it and becomes more of a lock down. I am sick of watching Ryan hold the ball for an eternity then booting it down the line (usually to Cox who then kicks it back to him).
Is that a joke? Finally, a lockdown defender to free up Chapman.
Yep way too attacking ,that shit = risky business in the jlo school of thoughtHis taking the game on will be promptly coached out of him though

Him and Cooper really could unlock this team. Man I hope thats the starting 6 come preseason game 1 even if I know at least one of Banfield or Worner will be there.Simpson Pearce Ryan
Clark cox mcvee
Seems a no brainer to me - we’d have the potential* to go from the slowest , laborious, risk adverse team in moving the ball from d50 to f50 in the league with that backline to one of the most attacking ……..
*of course thatd still all depend on the instruction from the coaches department
Yeah it looks effen mint.Him and Cooper really could unlock this team. Man I hope thats the starting 6 come preseason game 1 even if I know at least one of Banfield or Worner will be there.
Actually salivating at the thought of.thise three smalls moving the ball out of the D50
Simpson definitely the weak link but I did watch his GWS game again and specifically for his defensive stuff and he did a really good job on Jones (albeit probably the perfect match up for him). Im positive he could avoid being a negative while he builds.Yeah it looks effen mint.
but what makes it truly good is your sacrificing very little in terms of defensive capabilities either
Clark’s still a great defender and Judd’s a proven small lockdown defender.
Simpson would be the only weak link there obviously but that’s only because he’s still got his L plates on in that position and at least his physical attributes mean it’ll be mostly about mindset/positioning
Of course as I said in my other post - it’s only the coaching holding this back now
Chapman on the bench?Simpson Pearce Ryan

, I’m not worried at all - every backline in the league has a weak link defensively- it’s only an issue if they don’t bring much else to the table - and that’s clearly not case with coops, and even that won’t be an issue in time anywayNo no no …Chapman on the bench?
