Well done Eagles Fans

I thought we had a really good turnout today, overcoming expense and poor ticketing arrangements to get a lot of the Blue and Golds through the gate. The crowd seemed to be about 50:50.

Obviously it helps that you're winning, but we outshouted them pretty well in Bay 316 too and a lot of people stayed behind to see Ross hand over the medal and cup.

I dont know if it was just where I was sitting but in Block 333 it was all Eagles and I hardly heard a Dockers chant all day. At half time though when I wondered down to get a drink you could see that their were more Freo supporters there. But overall I thought the Eagles supporters did a great job.

Section 333 was awesome. 99% WCE members and we cheered and sang non stop. What a party atmosphere, really enjoyable. I wish I was seated with that crowd every week. Fantastic.

Some good ideas so far, Carny, keep taking whatever Doogs is on and see what else you come up with. I'm busy trying to get Dessie Headland in a brush with the law so we'll have to run with your crazy schemes for a while. Where you the one that had nothing to say all afternoon that got up and started raving that Freo were ****ters etc. and should go home late in the last qtr??

No.

I was two rows behind him (almost directly behind him) with my wife, children and some friends and was very loud all day.

At the end when he started doing that, I said "Shut up mate. Cheer for the Eagles not against the Dockers". In fact several Eagles fans (myself included) were rather embarrassed at his homophobic and discourteous behaviour.

When he didn't listen the first time (and by this stage supporters of both sides were suggesting he shut up), I said "what's your motto - modest in victory, gracious in defeat"?

He didn't get it, but then he shut up anyway, claiming he had lost his voice (though I hadn't heard him much).

On behalf of Eagles supporters, I apologise for this clod.

On a completely different subject, did you see the Eagles supporter who was a dead ringer for the bloke in the advert who says in a French advert "I 'ave come to clean ze pool?"

Nah I missed him, we were on your left and down a few rows over near the steps.

Don't worry VOR we know most eagles fans arent like the fool in block 316. He certainly didnt upset us, he just gave us some amusement.
