Well done on tonight's performance. It's really getting hard not to admire the way the Collingwood team play especially that backline! I know we were a bit underdone with a few players but when we pushed hard you guys pushed harder and were still a few steps ahead. I'd love it if our boys could have the unity, leadership and desire to work hard for one another.

Good luck for the rest of the finals series. :thumbsu:

Thanks mate, you hit the nail on the head, we out "teamed" you tonight.

To me it just seemed the Dogs had too man selfish players out there tonight, while Collingwood worked as a team from front to back all night.

Your season's not over yet though, you may even get a game at Etihad next week against the Swans or Blues.

Simply put, don't lose all hope of a decent showing until you are actually knocked out of the finals.

Well it's been my main gripe for a long time now. Our group just don't work hard enough for one another and leaders just don't stand up. It's the opposite at Collingwood and would love to get some of that spirit in the Red, White and Blue.

I thought the Doggies looked underdone (injured) and lacking confidence. They seemed to run the ball out of bounds when they had the opportunity to keep it in and didin't really back themselves. And when they did our defenders sorted it anyway. I'm pretty happy with that performance as a I rate the Dogs. I'm hoping you come out alright against Freo(?) next week.

Carlton or Sydney next week. Geelong have Freo.

LOL. Was just talking to a Geelong supporting mate of mine who was adamant they were playing Carlton or Sydney next week. Shows me to trust a drunk at his second 21st for the night :D

Bulldogs have had a shocking run of luck this year. So many injuries at the wrong time of the year plus mega mouth implosion has just made for a real dirty year. The dogs outs were so telling in how the game was played and the end result. Good luck to the dogs next week.

Re: Collingwood vs Western Bulldogs Matchday Discussion

Just responded to a sporting comment on the bulldogs board, so thought I'd come here to say congrats - no real surprises how things panned out, just a pity we couldn't have put up more of a fight.

It's a bit sad seeing an ex-coach of ours about to take another team to a flag...

Well done guys....far too good. Can anyone tell me why the pies faithful were giving it to Johnno? Can't think why he would be so unpopular with your mob.

He was trying to rough up a player or two at one point early in the game. But, I also think that most Pies supporters could see he is a liability to your side atm, and thought it was a good chance to get stuck into him.

Cheers for compliments Doggie supporters..
And to our boys, lets just keep that sort of effort, passion and physicality throughout the rest of the finals series..

I think it might have been diretcted more at your selection panel becuase you were playing a player who wasnt fit. I dont think it was any thing personal to Jono, I would be disapointed if it was coz he is a great bloke.

Something happened between Shaw and Johnno early in the game on the boundary line - maybe that was it
