West Coast tried the Adelaide/Sydney shut down game tonight and it worked for 2 and a half quarters.

Peter Burgoyne - the match-winner tonight - broke the lines with his run and the rest of the team responded.

Excellent game by Troy Chaplin tonight. He will grow as a player from tonight.

I was at the game and while the first half was a slog and a low standard, the second half was a bottler.

Thoroughly enjoyed the game and the result!!

Thanks for your thoughts macca. Where do reckon West Coast failed to close us down compared to Adelaide and Sydney? Ran out of legs so couldn't sustain the pressure? We managed to break them down unlike the other 2 teams? or West Coast just haven't practiced this long enough to be as good as the other 2.
