Jake Weller
Details:
Club: Northern Eagles/Queensland
DOB: 18 December 1986 Hgt: 194cm Wgt: 84kg
Position: Centre Half Back
Natural Foot: Right

Honours:
Queensland 2004
MVP of Queensland 2004
State Screening Camp 2004

Strengths: The brother of Richmond's Luke, Jake is a much taller defender who had an excellent carnival at centre half back.

Weller is very disciplined, will stick to his man all day and doesn't mind the body contact associated with playing as a key defender. He is also pretty good overhead, and his 2nd efforts and recovery are good - will work hard at ground level for a big man.

Sounds good wouldnt mind a player of that those qualities.
What do u think of Luke? Give him a full season and playing him as a forward or backmen??

Hopefully Weller and Morrison turn out to be good recruits. We haven't really seen their true talents because they were playing under Frawley. In fact we haven't seen much of most of our list. We will find out how good our list in under Wallace ;)

Morrison against Collingwood proved he could be a very good player. But I would like to see Wellar as a KPP in the backline. Hes built for it. But like you guys are saying. TW will get the best out of them.

With his speed, or lack of, would he be better suited in a forward line position?

Yes he could be, but I was just thinking he could be a backmen seeing as we drafted him as a backman, and we didnt give him a start there for the year. Another one of Frawleys blunders.

Sounds like getting both Wellers would be like having an inferior version of the Kellaways.
