Werewolf Game: Hungry like the Wolf
Now, you might be asking, "Footpie, did you really just name a Werewolf game after a Duran Duran song?" Yes I did. Partially because I like the song, but also because you can't go out dressed like this unless you can rip someone to shreds. Because frankly, you're going to cop some abuse. Are they wearing lipstick? Maybe it's blood? Grrrrrrrrrr.
So that brings us to our game. It appears that on one of their many sailing expeditions, they accidentally washed ashore on Sweet FA Island and are now eating all the men folk and seducing all the ladies and then eating them too. The village has finally had enough and has decided to fight back against these tyrants of the pop world.
Please state your interest in playing ITT. However, be warned, it will solely be at my discretion. Anyone who has been INACTIVE in recent games or have been subjected to ruining recent games, you will not be accepted into this game. The process is to request to join the game, if I believe that you will contribute, I will approve of your entry.
How are players killed?
Each 'turn' of the game will last 24hrs or so and also represents one 'day' of game time, thus a game will go on for several days before it is concluded. There are two 'phases' to every turn of the game;
Night Phase - : When selected groups secretly decide amongst themselves, via PM communication, which person (one per night) that they shall slaughter and kill and then each inform the moderator of their vote via PM. Votes for the night phase are to be in no later than 8am unless otherwise directed.
Night Phase: 5pm – 8am
Day Phase - After the slaughter has been announced, everybody discusses and ultimately votes publicly in the game-thread upon which player (one per day) that they shall lynch and kill. Votes for the day phase are to be in no later than 5pm unless otherwise directed.
Day Phase: 8am – 5pm
Obviously during the day, the Mafia will want the group to vote for and lynch one of the other three factions, whilst the others themselves will want not to be lynched; herein lies the fundamental strategy of the game ; can the good identify the evil whilst at the same time convincing the rest of the group that they're not themselves a evil? And can the evil convince the group that they're not evil at all and thus avoid being lynched?
Werewolf Etiquette
There are two main rules which everyone must follow in order for the game to run successfully;
KILLED PLAYERS MUST LEAVE THE GAME
If you are killed at any point during the game, you must leave immediately. Under no exceptions will you be allowed to post once you’re announced as dead. Anyone breaking this rule will be banned from future games and will be named and shamed. NO EXCUSES.
THERE MUST BE NO PRIVATE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN PLAYERS OUTSIDE OF PMs STARTED BY ME
Between those with groups who can talk, sending PM's or other forms of private communication concerning the game is not allowed.
Anyone found to be breaking the above rules will be banned from the next game, and repeat offences will result in being banned from all future games should there be any; please follow the rules and keep the game legitimate.
For this game I will be re-introducing the Reason for Lynching rule. That being, you must have a legitimate reason for your vote from this game and this game only. Simply stating a name will see your vote disallowed. An example may be: "Croweater 41: He voted for BFFL in consecutive days who has claimed to be the seer. This is a risk us villagers can't take right now".
Voting
During the Day Phase players must vote for whom to lynch, your vote must be formatted in bold like this: Player Name and it must contain a valid reason as to why you’re voting for them.
Upon the voting deadline (end of day-phase) the votes will be tallied by the moderator and whoever has received the most will be lynched and be out of the game: remember, once killed you cannot take further part; do not reveal your roles to anyone until the game has been concluded.
Any ties in voting will be decided by the toss of a coin. If more than 2 players are tied, my girlfriend (not Clarkey's) will be asked. I her decision is final. Let me tell you...
A total inactivity of 4 consecutive phases (generally 48 hours) will see you mod-killed. Missing 3 lynch votes will also see you mod-killed.
Failure to submit a night action will result in a missed opportunity. It is up to you to ensure you get your vote in on time.
ROLES
Roles will be assigned using Random.org. Any complaints about your role will be futile, possibly fatal.
Alpha Wereboncer - Can Seer one person per night.
Wereboncers(3) - Can elect as a group to kill one person per night.
Godfather - Can seer one person per night.
Henchmen (3) - can elect as a group to kill one person per night.
Mobbenseer - can seer one person per night.
Flogs(4) - Can talk privately in a PM.
Juggilante - Can kill one person per night. (May include a 2nd Juggilante if I get enough numbers)
Sheriff - Can imprison somebody each night meaning they cannot perform their night ability or be killed.
Cupid - chooses two people at the start of the game who become lovers. If one is killed/lynched they both will die.
Lovers - See above.
NecroClarker - Can revive one person once in the game. They will however start the next day phase with 4 lynch votes. (The NecroClarker not the person they revive)
New rule please read:
Any discussions about the contents of a PM MUST have prior approval of either myself or BigJoeD . If we believe you have breached this rule you will start the next day phase with 5 lynch votes.
