I stand by my original statement and refuse to base my opinion on a few pre season games.
Do you think Essendon are writing of their season based (before yesterday) on the pre season?
Brisbane lost to Geelong. Do you think they are at all worried about their up coming season?
Of course not. I refuse to let pre season games influence my thoughts on the season ahead.
There are 22 weeks in a football season, 4 weeks of finals. You don't get 4 points for playing Essendon in Bendigo, or Port Adelaide in a winery.
Yeah, winning is good, winning in February though? I couldn't give a ****. I still think we are a great team, and i still think we are in for a good season, and i also think that too many of us here are far too quick to write us off.

) I guess he was a Doggie supporter before you were even born! He proudly wears a Western Bulldogs polo shirt. In fact, he has it with him in the nursing home! But I think that's just to chat up the good looking nurses.......

I made the right decision for sure. My dad is currently back in a nursing home. He developed pneumonia two weeks ago and during his stay in hospital it was discovered that he needed a pacemaker last Monday. Apparently his heartbeat dipped to about 20 on Sunday night and the decision was made early Monday morning to operate right away. He's very weak from this latest setback and is having physical therapy in the nursing home to strengthen him up so he can return home. We'll find out the plans about him coming home on Tuesday. He now has seven major things wrong with him, but he's a fighter! Hey, he even saw a Bulldogs match when he and my mum came to visit me in May 1979. (We beat South Melbourne at the Western Oval that day!) I guess he was a Doggie supporter before you were even born! He proudly wears a Western Bulldogs polo shirt. In fact, he has it with him in the nursing home! But I think that's just to chat up the good looking nurses.......

Maybe he could sign up a few new members among the nursing home patients and staff... Only kidding, wish him all the best from all of us and tell him to hang in there, like a true Bulldog!Originally posted by Chicago1
