MRP / Trib. What am I missing??.....

Taking tinfoil hat off, I reckon the fact that Goddard got up and played on straight away had a big say on it, and the medical report that went along with it. That is usually how they determine 'force'.

exactly, goddard got up pretty much straight away but from memory taylor had to be helped from the ground. in the end its still bullshit. ballas was going for the ball whilst gibbs was deliberately being a dog and trying to hurt goddard.

Thats what I dont understand!...Why isnt intent taken into account by the MRP??!! Gibbs intended to hit him with a shoulder to the head....just lucky he didnt knock him out!. So the way I interpret the MRP is, that as long as no harm is done, its okay! That is crap really.

I have a lot of experience with narrow focus and unknowingly heavily biased groups of men making decisions, then looking for the justification. You can't beat them.

Ease up TaylOr, we're not all like that. I bore witness last weekend to a group of 22 very confused young men running around in circles, making extremely poor decisions, seeking direction from a coach with his back turned on them who got severely beaten.

Just regarding the MRP findings for Ballas, correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't it 3 week ban, with an early plea taken to 2 weeks?

If that is correct, it just seems ridonculous that Yarran gets 3 for flat out punching Chapman in the head with a closed fist no less.

Am I going crazy here?

It was really a 2 week ban down to 1 and then add 1 week for his bad record.

Yarren was a 4 week ban, down to 3.

If Ballas didn't turn the shoulder and went to ground himself he wouldn't have been reported.
Exactly. Hard to explain without seeming to be bagging Ballas (which I am not) - but if Ballas had just kept his feet and or faded away with "reverse force" after the bump, he'd have got a fine at worst. See SJ fine earlier this year for an example.
