Don't have much time to play these days but this is the perfect mix.

Cabernet. Dialogue based RPG set in a vampire narrative. Minimal gameplay, but it's a very chill, engaging experience. Only $20.

Ultra Street Fighter IV

Haven’t played pure Street Fighter in ages, installed it and 3 hours later I got my fix.

Street Fighter 6

Which then led me to play SF6 for a few hours yesterday. 6 hours on/off... but the PS5 reckons it was 28 lol, will come in handy for the end of year review tally though!!

Rocket League

Playing it a bit more lately, gotta love how it currently takes about 17 wins in a row to move up .1% but only a handful of losses to drop .1%


Dark Souls 3

Completing a New Game ++ run on Xbox
While still going through the game for the first time on pc. Currently doing what I have done in other games and progressing through the same area in both games one after the other. Funny thing is it's obviously "easier" in the New Game ++ run being that I'm already powerful (just have to avoid getting hit). But as a result I'm also more methodical in the New Game run on pc, timing my attacks so I don't have to constantly redo the boss fights.

EA Play subscription started playing Battlefront II for the first time.
Hard game to get good at early as everyone has abilities and is levelled up so they get to the 4k points for a hero far quicker.

But having a blast.
Good variation on standard shooter games.

Finished FC Primal the other night. Yes its around 10 years old but damn it is a beautiful game. I actually started this way back but I'm finding myself playing games in waves, for a few weeks Ill play nothing but GR Wildlands, then pivot to EA FC 25, then to Doom TDA but after knocking over FC 3 last year (again) I'm determined to plough through all FC's

So Primal, its the FC formula with quite intelligent, stunningly presented prehistoric animals replacing guns (along with some stone aged based weapons). I think this is one of the better FC's, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Last Epoch has got it's claws into me. Good one to pick up for 20 minutes do a couple of runs then logout. Combat is satisfying and the levelling process is smart, making it feel like you're progessing and getting more powerful. Very nice.

Just happened by chance after my sons birthday party on Sunday had a few beers in the shed with some of my mates and we hit up the old arcade games.

Forgot how good some of the classics were like Xmen, Terminator, Die Hard and Cliffhanger not to mention Road Rash, NBA Jam and TNMT. Just easy to play games that were fun.

I want to get a proper arcade machine but don’t want to spend over $2k for some of the nice looking ones I’ve seen and the cheaper ones at $1k like nba jam only have the 3 games on it.

There is a very good chance they can be hacked quite easily and add more games depending on the one you buy.

I have zero ability when it comes to tech like that. One I looked at was NBA Jam via JBHI which only had the 3 games.

The $2K ones have 6000+ games on them which would be great but just can't justify the price of it.

I kinda hit a wall here. The very next zone I am meant to go to has mobs that just smash me turn one. I don't actually know where to go to farm exp to increase my level. All previous zones are too low.

I ended up doing a bit of exploring and found the area that allows the mount to swim so I'll try and do that at some stage and see what that opens up.

You would hope there was somewhere to grind up a couple of levels if needed without having to spend a ton of time

I'm assuming the water mount is what I'm heading to now to cross the sea

I caved, purchased Top Spin 2K25 when I saw it was cheap on Steam.................. technically own it on Xbox, pc and have it installed while its on the PS+ game catalog.

Have to say the frame rate on pc makes it play so much better than on console.

I got stuck on A16 with The Silent, so thought I'd switch over to the Ironclad.

Pretty fun, I'm now up to A18 with him (which ain't no joke btw). That's from 89 runs.. not sure how well that stacks up.. probably pretty bad.

I've managed to get past A20 with the Silent. Haven't bothered yet with the other characters but now I've started trying to get trophies and the one where you need to try and clear the game with just one relic is making me cry as I never seem to develop a good deck to do it and I've tried so many times I've lost count.

Oh man, some of those trophies look insane. Haven't even bothered trying those yet.

Hopefully I will A20 on each character first. Still has a lot of legs this game for me.

Managed to get through A20 for Watcher, Silent and the Defect. Haven't sunk much time into an Ironclad Ascension run but might try and get it done before Slay the Spire 2 drops.

Haven't played Balatro, but I know rogue lite/likes can be quite dangerous for the whole "Just one more run", then a few hours later still going...

Playing Ninja Gaiden 2 Black. The combat is kind of arse and I probably need to read the plot on Wikipedia to understand what the story is even about. And I have killed a lot of enemies in the game and I am not sure how many of them deserved to be killed.

I am not even sure if I can recommend the game. In saying all of that, I am enjoying it.
