Same here eh? Haven't read most of them for about 3 years now so maybe I should go back and borrow them again. Are there any movies out of interest?

As far as I know the only Clive Cussler book to hit the big screen was "Raise the ***anic" totally sucked imho... if you want to watch a good ***anic movie watch James Cameron's.

Anything by Tom Clancy, great reads. Movie adaptations of his books don't work for me, though. The only one that was any good and close to the book was 'The Hunt For Red October'.

Coxon, I've seen the movie version of 'Fever Pitch' and absolutely loved it. Could easily cross over to any Aussie Rules side you could think of. Haven't read the book yet, usually find that the books are heaps better than the screen version, so I'm expecting it to be a cracker when I finally get it.

Most of my reading is done on the internet, because that's the only place I can find up to date information on topics that appeal.
The AFL & realfooty sites are good value, and a lot of time is spent visiting music (bands') websites getting biographical information, song lyrics, guitar tabs etc.

Well Raise the Titanic did come out but it was very loosely based on the book and im not even sure they used the characters names of Pitt and Giordino. Its pretty old the effects are crap so i wouldnt bother.

Personally though i hope they dont bring out movies about the books, i have this whole world in my head with NUMA and Pitt, Giordino, Gunn, Admiral Sandecker and Congresswoman Smith :)
I dont want them to ruin by casting the wrong ppl or just totally screwing up my Cussler world.

Seen as you have read all of his books im wandering if you also noted that in almost every book he puts himself in the book. A small character that only has a few lines and whenever Pitt meets this character for a few moments he always swears that he knows him. :)

Gotta love Dirk Pitt.

How much moolah would I be looking at for a tea chest full of 70s Archie comics?

Sorry to say Mr.R but not much. :( Still, depending on condition, age (if it were early 70's) you might surprise yourself!

ps, if your serious about it, send me an e-mail with series names/numbers and I would probably be able to give you a rough idea on their value.

Cheers.

Picked up a copy of John Birmingham's "He died with a felafel in his hand" at Tullamarine a couple of weeks back. Funniest thing I've read in a long time, couldn't stop giggling all the way back to Perth.

Yeah I know. In the last book I read, the duo meet him in the middle of the sahara desert which is a bit farfetched but then, half the story is a bit farfetched!

Jus saw the movie mentioned in the Melbourne Film Festival flier, and we decided we were probably gonna see it. Missus just told me it was based on a book an hour ago, and now I see someone's read it! Good to hear you enjoyed it.

John Grisham is my favourite author - I've read all of his books, at the moment I'm reading the autobiography of Dawn Fraser which is interesting. And of course I read a Dr Sesus book every night to the little ones.
