Currently use a RNS Larsons - direct from eBay for $30 (have plenty more for sale )

But the last 12 months have seen me go through a Gray Nicholls Titan (3 pound 3 meat axe!) and a County Pisweak I think it was called, weighed little more than a splinter, and had the power of one, evidenced by my "workmanlike" 39 off 27 overs (in 40 over cricket! Still my highest score since unders)

sounds like my innings on the weekend made 45 off 28.4 overs in a 40 over game. mind u that 45 would have been an 80 on most grounds, the boundaries were huge and the ground was slow as anything hit a cover drive out the middle and it pulled up short and only got 2.

currently looking for a new bat, im looking mainly at GN. Im a top order batsman, looking for something light, that hits well. Im not a powerful batsman, and rely heavily on timing and placement of shots rather than strength. Anyone here recomend any bats i should have a look at?

I donno about the predator, the middle is way to high which is very annoying sometimes. but I am a middle order batsman not an opening one who may be aided by the high middle. Fusion looks nice?

The middle is a bit high, but i play a lot of cuts so it works perfectly for me. I can still hit the drive very sweet as well. Plus the pick up of my bat is what made me get it, the best bat i have ever picked up.

My kookaburra bat might suit you, think its the same as the BNG uses but it doesnt suit me at all, tried it tonight and although it was fine when cutting, hitting hard down the ground wasnt much good, I play the Gilly like innings at the top of the order but if there comes a time I should settle down for a long innings I might try it, maybe chasing a low score it would be good but atm it wont be getting used in a match, much better suited for the good timer
