iv heard a heck of alot about this kid everywhere, the recurring theme being that he is real tough and a great tackler, and that he will really impose himself in a game, iv also heard that this kid will be an absolute gun in the future

is this true demon fans, what are his qualities?

DONT BE SHY DEE FANS-IM EXCITED!

He won't be "an absolute gun in the future" until he gets over his OP. I for one will be very interested in how he his when he reports in for pre-season training. If he's on a limited program again then he won't be able to dominate like so many seem to think he will.

His main quality is his size, he is a tank. His disposal is very good & he has an excellent eye for goal.

yeh we havent seen much of him at Melbourne but I've been to a few Sandy matches and he's played REALLY well. His tackles are top class and he's very though. Great to see a young tough demon coming through, in the past we've been too used to a team of pussies.

Btw BT, what is OP. - something to do with him being up him self i suppose, he appears pretty arrogant.

He is a very explosive player, great mark, plays up forward as well as midfield. His aggression at the player and the ball is a real asset.

Living over in Perth all the talk is about West Coast, St Kilda and Geelong being the teams to watch out for in the next few years. But I reckon Melbourne is on a par and if you can nab a quality young KPP forward in the draft watch out.

ND seems to have gone out of his way to recruit real hard nuts, but there is good pace and skills in the young guys you have aswell. But it is the hard nuts you need when the crunch is on and you guys have an abundance of them now - it will be a demolition team much as Brisbane have been the past few years. I reckon you guys have done the best recruiting in the last couple of years, no doubt.

Cheer's mate love your comments.

well we fixed our CHF problem with Miller. Robbo was adequate and did a fine job in 2003 but lacks the height realli, we need a big target down there and i have no doubt that miller will bulk anymore but its his ability 2 get accross the ground so well for marks and his work rate that impresses me. we will need 2 replace neitz and dutchy aint the answer i dont think. hopefully guys like Johnson and Smith can step up in 05

sorry about what i said about sylvia i watched some vfl match replays with him in it and he absoloutly dominated he will be a champion maybe even better then walker which is saying a lot from a carlton supporter he has the best tackle i have ever seen and is a great pack mark melbourne supporters you have a lot to look forward to

Yeah we Demon fans are really excited about Sylvia. I keep hearing comparisons to Ricciuto and Voss and although that's drawing a very long bow, he mightn't be too far off. I had a good chat to him at the Demons end of season party and he seems a really good kid. Typical down-to-earth country boy who can't wait to get a full pre-season under his belt. He would crawl over broken glass to lay a big tackle, is extremely strong over head, and knows where the goals are. This bloke will burst onto the scene in '05 with a full pre-season under his belt.
