Since we traded our first round pick, the bandwagons have crashed. Time for some new ones. :) Draft machine.

According to Beveridge, we're going with best available at our first pick. So there's room for big risk, big rewards right? Awesome.

Callum Bartlett - 179cm - 75kg - Geelong Falcons

Quick and agile goal-kicking midfielder with excellent ball winning ability. Disposal by foot is a feature of his game. Completing rehabilitation after preseason ACL injury and presented at Draft Camp in excellent condition without physically being tested. From North Geelong.

According to "those in the know" would've been a top 5 pick if he didn't do his knee. He's no certainty to last to our first pick, could go as early as Geelong's first rounder. Im all for it, i think we're pretty sound through all lines and really the risk isn't big at all, (it just sounded good up there) could pay some handsome dividends.

Roland Ah Chee, just because he has a badass name.

It's nice to say that their precise kicking and excellent disposal is a feature of their game, yet the highlights packages are usually filled with long hit and hope bombs on one sided players and drop punts which hang in the air or are overshot, haven't seen a player yet who could hit a forward lace out from the midfield brigade.

Sorry for interrupting. I was wondering about the advantages and privileges that I will receive If I join Saint Kilda membership. Can anyone give me an answer to this please? Thank youuu....

Pretty sure there's a few decent ones a bit higher up the pecking order. ;)

Well yeah, but I was talking from those speculated to be around our pick. Precise kicking ends up a floating drop punt to the advantage side of the defender in the marking contest. it's like "well at least he hit someone, he must be a good kick!" from the AFL staff who wrote the stuff. :p

We need a young crumber to relieve pressure from milne and schneider.... and a player who can replace raph clarke. i dont care if they have no arms just get rid off him

With Tungatalum gone, I would also expect them to look at small forwards to eventually replace Milne Schneider. That said, players like Geary, Steven or even Armitage could also take that role, I think.

Ali Smith has gone OK (showed some good signs for a 1st year player). Heyne is a sneaky forward (even though he's 187cm). Mini is only 23 and (until the GF) has been a handy small forward.

Mini was also a defensive forward, he does not lead up and present like Schneider nor does he roam like Milney, he takes his chances and works on exploiting the defensive blunders primarily. Ultimately what's needed in terms of a small forward is the explosive "x-factor" type to take the good parts of Milney with the ability to play a little higher up as well (kicking penetration primarily) Heyne could fill this role but he'd be more likely to replace / cover Schneider at this stage Alistair has been ok without being "Tunga".

The benefit with Milney, is that largely you don't know where he's going to go or what he's going to do (good or bad) so he gets a fair few opportunities and just lacks the finish at times or screws up horribly. With everyone playing a role, they have to be bloody good otherwise you will have someone negating on you and end up like Dal Santo pre season when tagged; having skill but being unable to use it because "they worked you out".

I saw a 3min vid of Levi Casboult on the hearld sun website and liked what i saw and one know anything more about him. And at his size he can play back ruck and foward which is always good to have.
