We are close to setting new records in being crap -
This time last year we were 1-1 , now we are 0-2 having just lost to the crap-est team in the comp. There is an absolute in ability to see out a game, teams KNOW they can take it easy and keep it level pegged till half way through - then just walk all over us.
Supporters are expressing a genuine feeling that there is a lack of spirit about players, a lack of care for the jumper, antipathy, lethargy.
We are being smashed, nothing is changing, nothing. We see the same problems we saw five years ago - not through lack of players, but through lack of vision, planning foresight and inspiration.
We are being told to stand by the team, to support them no matter what, to keep the faith - well thats a two way deal.
What do we Say?! We start asking the hard questions, we start calling it how it is, leave off the excuses, we have had our time and we are, and should, be better than we are performing.
Time to take a good hard look at ourselves and leave the piss-take excuses at the door, time to get serious and take responsibility for our performances and admit what they were - gutless, insipid, pathetic fade outs with NO ONE ELSE TO BLAME but OURSELVES.
I'm sure every supporter out their will continue to maintain the faith and show all the support they can - it is however time to be honest and spend some time in the room of mirrors having bloody good hard look at just how gutless we are.
