He said Extra bowling option.. not Mitch Marsh. That batting lineup you listed there has 4 batsmen, 3 all rounders, a wicket keeper and 3 bowlers. Just 4 batsmen, no wonder we got rolled for 151.Finch

How? You've got three guys in the lineup who are hit and miss and 75% of that time it is a miss. You've got Smith who's hit the end of his ridiculous form. Clarke who hasn't hit a decent score in ages and Mitch Marsh who is young, raw and not good enough to be in the team as a batsman or bowler. Then you have Faulkner who is only good for the final ten overs, Haddin who did well today but is a rare occurence lately. 151 seems pretty accurate. It's a strong batting line up. Regardless of today.

Both are quite capable of getting out for little in little timeFinch and Warner are both capable of 100 in little time
Not Clarke in the last year and Smith has 9 runs in his two WC games, while he got out for 1 against India in the warm up gameClarke and smith are solid
I agree, the ability to get out like no one else canMaxwell has a unique quality
On form, Bailey is not. On talent and form Marsh is not.Bailey/marsh better than Watson
You should never ever be relying on your tail. Handy to have, but you don't want to go to it to survive. The rest is a stronger than average tail

I second that motionThe glue factory suggestion remains the most practical

And rely on Maxwell and Faulkner/Marsh for 10 overs each? Here's what you do... you drop him when Clarke is ready to come back in and leave George Bailey in the side.
