For all we know the poor bugger could have been henpecked for the best part of his life while his kids treated him like crap. Who knows?

I've seen some blokes I've worked with over the years who have their families act like they're nothing more than an ATM and then get told to **** off by the ungrateful bastards.

Well theres not much I can do about it now! He left before my sister got home to Launceston from Hobart! Although I cant believe even though we've been through a fair bit of **** in the last 18 months he wouldnt wait to see my sister off. Oh well I guess the majority of the people in this thread who said that he didnt care about us are right. He obviously doesnt and I guess now Ive gotta start understanding that he doesnt care,

Thanks to everyone who was kind enough to reply and give me such great advice (lioness, Asgardian, Becca and whoever else I may have forgotten-Im sorry). I decided that rather than stay home and be upset Id hit the town for the whole weekend so thats why I didnt reply after the initial few posts.

I think that both you and your sister should try and get your mum and dad back together.

Try writing him a letter or if you have his email address, send him an email.

I would have thoguht with all youve written that it was the bleedingly obvious thing he was gonna do.
