My avatar is the perfect example of why we shouldn't wear our usual away strip against the Dees.

Not that our home one is really a great deal better.

I know I've said this before, but we really need a decent clash strip.

With the current jumper scenarios, the best jumper combo would be if we wore our home one and Melbourne wore the almost all red one.

However, I wouldnt mind betting Melbourne wear their traditional one (which is their right at home) and we wear our away jumper because we are away and we will clash no matter which one of the two we wear.

This is becoming a real problem IMO. Anyone see the Collingwood/Saints game? Has there ever been a worse clash of strips? That was a Collingwood home game anmd the AFL did nothing to prevent St.Kilda wearing their Collingwood jumper. Do the AFL care? I'm not convinced they do.

logic would suggest we maybe need a third strip that had a fair bit of yellow in it

i suggest royal blue with a yellow sash

Wouldnt be your Torrens influence shining through, would it?

I think we could use the original design (hoops) and simply make it a predominantly yellow one. Then we would have the original predominantly blue one, the current away predominantly red one, and a third predominantly yellow one. This should cover any clashes with other teams.

Oh and no poxy crow thingy in the middle of the front, it would look better with out it. Flick the one on the red one too thanks.

the yellow idea is great - a good call & i agree with your other points too. you should suggest it to the club.

just to stir the ********e a bit we should change our away colours to black white and red and wear it against collingwood and essendon maybe even black, red, yellow and white just to give it a bit of colour

I reckon for Melbourne games a Gold shirt with Blue crow and red numbers would do

We have been crying out for a clash strip on this very board for years and absolutely nothing has taken place. Didn't AFL say that by 2005 or 2006 all clubs will have an away strip??????

This was a hot topic a while back and now it just never gets mentioned again

The last time we played against Melbourne in Melbourne (a couple of years back at Optus) , at least half a dozen Crow handballs went straight to Melbourne players for no good reason. It seems insane that we wear our away top against Melbourne, and if our asteemed board didn't learn from that horror game I don't think we should be suprised if we lose tonight.
