I'm not writing anyone off until they have been in the system for a couple of years. Swan has been around for a while and looked liked he wasn't going anywhere. Heath Shaw was the least praised out of all the Shaw and has become good.

I'm not writing Muston off developmentally, in terms of what he is able to accomplish on a football field. Physically, I strongly doubt him ever being able to perform the feats that would make him such an enticing proposition.

As for Judd, his shoulders didn't affect his speed, strength or attack on the ball, did they? Those were his main attributes. However, in the area that they would affect him - Overhead marking - Worsfold has been reluctant to use him up forward, to protect his shoulders.

There's a big difference between a shoulder reco for a guy who makes his living winning the hard ball in the midfield and sprinting away from packs and multiple knee recos for a guy who uses pace to get open, leap to take big overhead marks and has long kicking as one of his primary attributes.

He's not Chris Judd - Pretty much every team passed on him, and the only reason Hawthorn thought he was worth the risk is because they had already passed on him 4 times in that draft.

You cannot comment unless you have seen him live and I have seen him play more than once. To tell you the truth, he trails the other bunch of first-year players at the Club -even the Rookies have shown far more maturity at Reserve level.

The rookies are older than he is - All rookies have to be top-age, or they're not eligible for Rookie-listing.

I don't know if you have actually seen Danny play and actually stood near him, but I can assure you he doesn't have an ounce of puppy fat on him, the kid is built like a brick ****house. Admitted, he's been caught out a few times this year with his lack of pace, but as others have already noted, it's his 1st year and he won't get delisted as draftees are on 2 year contracts at minimum. You gotta give these kids time to not only develop physically and mentally, but they also have to learn their trade.

I havn't liked what Ive seen so far but I won't be writing him off after just 1 year. I too remember people saying they thought he would have gone top 15 and that he was a steal at 21. F**k we have one kid who isn't killing them in Williamstown and it's back to the "our recruiters are duds" and "fat arse policy" chestnuts. Stanley is built like the proverbial, he is not a Shackleton. We have drafted Thomas, Pendlebury who have both excited us, Cook who has shown alot at Williamstown when not injured, Iles who showed a bit and Stanley who struggled to get going which could be due to his hamstring injuries. Every teams drafts produce about an average of two duds that are gone in 3 years time, rarely does a team of 22 come from only 3 drafts. A premiership team comes from about 5 or 6 different drafts.
