here a few questions i would like to present to you:

how could Melbourne not even try to win the game for Oxy who as usual was injured!

how could it be that we had only 4 reasonable players out there today.... one playing his SECOND game for the year

how could Neale possibly resist to kick players back to Sandy to get some form back... especially Grgic who until 3/4 time got ONE handball which he handballed to a... you guessed it.... COLLINGWOOD player!

how could they even call themselves a team and why on Earth did they have to tell us Farmer will play???

there are days where we lose but today we got beaten and that hurts because we had most of our team out on the field and fit and all we ended up doing is bloody humiliating ourselves!

i have NEVER EVER felt ashamed to be a Melbourne supporter.... but today i have just about had it.....

SORRY OXY.... pretty ********ty 150th ha?? :(

I'm sorry, I just have to ask: How could we have lost by so much?

I would have thought we'd at least challenge the Pies, but nooo....

Again, I ask: What happened?

You lost by so much, because you played Collingwood. What did you expect? No Buckley, no Collingwood? Sorry, but that is not the way things work.

Onya Dees Rule......you are the only one that has made some true observations..

1. Our coaching staff..........what coaching staff I ask myself sometimes....not that impressisve.
2. The guys did not come out to play....why in this day and age players are supposed to be professional, get paid TOO much, and come and perform like local suburban footballers.
3. Melb. admin. is useless and always has been regarding injuries...just about everyone knew Farmer was not right with his hammy........also he was seen out late with a couple of other players ...drinking...so it also could have been a disciplinary move...but we are never told anything.!!
4. Why are Melbourne so precious with their players....North Melb. drop players if they are not up to scratch.....Grijic for instance...starting to look a little liike the days of Balme!!
5. It was embarrassing today...the coach/players should apologise to the supporters for that pathetic display.

Lets hope they perform better next week, but transferrring our home game to the Gabba was a very bad move in retrospect.

Surely we could not do worse than this week!!

I would have come on last night but I was so furious I thought I would say something I would regret. But I am about to let loose.
To say Melbourne were SOFT is an understatement. They were as weak as water.
Obviously they have little respect for Schwarz. If they did they would have at least tried.
I am starting to think the huge wraps on our coach are very premature. Good one year. S%*t the next. It is 99 all over and there were no inspiring moves when needed in the first quarter when we were getting thumped.
After yesterday these players should be dropped, no matter how big a name they are.
GRGIG: how he is still in is beyond me.
WOEWODIN: needs to go back and get some confidence
LEONCELLI: did he actually touch it yesterday?
SIMMONDS: He is not fit enough
WHITE: Not fit enough. He was thrashed by a 19 year old kid.
NICHOLSON: No good as a backman.
A. MCDONALD: Is he past it?
BEAMS: useless.
I'm sure there is more that we can add to the list. Of coarse they won't drop many of these players. The coaching staff is to weak to do so.

Don't use our injuries as an excuse. Collingwood had not only their best player, but one of the best in the competition out and we lose by nearly 80 points. Pathetic.

Thank you DEES RULE, Ms Storm and dees01 for your informative posts and to everyone else who replied.

I suppose I should have said that I only saw the score, so I had no idea what was going on on the ground.

It's still a little hard to believe we performed so poorly, though.

well over all, i gotta say we just played CRAP!!!
i don't think there's any was to justify the game we played, coz we pretty much didn't PLAY A GAME!!!

here's an article that was in the Herold Sun today, with an interviewy thing with neal.
oh well, i sure hope we play a hell of alot better next week!!!

GO DEES!!!

when a team who made the grand final last year can't pull together 4 quarters of footy (forget good footy... but just footy) and when they don't even try to win and get thrashed by 77 points, you know something is very very very wrong!
i hope that the players have learnt their lesson and that next week they will come out firing and start playing football!
(if players need to be dropped than players should be dropped... no questions asked!)

GO DEES!

all i can say is that they aren't going to just find form over night!
they might have been able to find them selves a way out last yr, but thats not to say that the same thing WONT happen again. sure, i hope this did teach them a lesson, but if they really are out of form, then they'll have to get working! and fast!!!

GO DEES!!!
