clearly the 3 best sides since 2001 winning 10 of the 15 **** in that time. which forward line would you want your mids kicking the ball into?
those 3 forward lines would stand up in any era.
for the comparison, assume all players are playing to their career best form.

Brown wasn't really dominate until after 2004 but all those at their peak it be closer but Hawthorn forward line is insanely good, between the 6 of them they will kick 2500+ goals between.

I don't think Brisbane or Geelong's fwd line from any given year would be in the top 3. Hawthorn the only one that belongs

Edit: For starters I'd say Essendon's 2001 forward line is better than Bri / Gee ones there. Sydney's from 2002, even if you don't include Lockett, is arguably better as well.

hawthorn clearly number 1 going by votes so far.
but would be interested in you views re. which other 2 teams since 2001 have had a better forward 6 than the lions and cats 6 listed other than hawthorn.

Just beat my edit. Maybe the Brisbane forward line belongs but not Geelong.

Essendon 2001 grand final forward line:
HF: 5 James Hird (c) 25 Scott Lucas 43 Dean Rioli
F: 29 Gary Moorcroft 18 Matthew Lloyd 27 Steven Alessio

In my edit I said maybe Sydney 2002 on a technicality. Swans team of the century full forward Tony Lockett, Swans team of the century forward pocket Paul Kelly. Hall, O'Loughlin, etc.

thanks for the feedback, do like that forward line. i did not look at any other forward lines other than the triple premiership teams, although would still back the hawks, lions and hawks.

I assume the 2001 is to exclude Essendon's 2000 forward line?

Hird Lucas Mercuri
Moorcroft Lloyd Long

I would take Franklin out of there, the forward line works better without him.

Yep....Way better.

Multi-pronged & beautifully balanced without 'the ego' being there.

How many flags has he won for the Swans again?

Hard to choose out of hawthorn and Brisbane. Went with the lions just but have no basis on why.

The forward line works better when players don't always kick to him, but every forward line is better with Buddy.

Not every forward-line: Ours aint & the numbers back that claim up.

Also, the conversion rate tends to plummet South for the winter....Every-time he shoots, it's deuces wild & don't hold your breath.
