How about wrap-up meetings ?Originally posted by GOALden Hawk
As in a wrap-up meeting? Is it wrap-ups or wraps-up??

Yes, but my boss is arguing the plural of auditor-general is auditors-general.
I reckon it's wrap-ups as well but I need some proof.

Here's my take on it.
Wrap is a verb. wraps-up is also therefore a verb. (He wraps up his lunch) Obviously thats the wrong meaning. Wrap-up is one word (not two connected words) and its a noun, and the plural is wrap-ups.
Auditor is a noun, while general is an adjective. The plural is auditors general.
The plural is always on the noun or verb part of the word, not on the adjective or adverb part.

Jars458 is right. Wrap-up is an adjective, meeting is the noun. So the plural is wrap-up meetings.Originally posted by GOALden Hawk
