I bought a second Essendon jumper this week. I wanted a sleeveless one to go with my long-sleeved one.

I will probably put a number on it since the other one does. I haven't decided yet what that is. My other jumper has #10 on it, for the great John Coleman who my father-in-law knew, but the problem is everyone thinks I got it for Mark McVeigh.

What does everyone have on theirs?

When I had a jumper, it had #20 on it, for Tony Buhagiar!!!

(tells you how long it's been since I could fit into my old footy jumper!!)

If you ever find yourself in Perth let me know & I will take you to Budgie's pub. :D

I've got 3 jumpers, an old Reebok jumper with #24 on the back - Smokin' Joe was my favourite at that stage.

I've also got a long-sleever from the 2000 season with the Fila and Speed Kills logo, but it's numberless.

Plus I've got the new Fila jersey with the Orange sponsorship, but I'm considering getting Scotty's #25 on that one - my family reckon I look like him, so maybe I could get into places with it!

Either Coleman or Reynolds will be voyed Essendon gretaest ever player (probably, - though Hutchison might get votes.) You already have no.10 for Coleman, why not put King Richards number on the other jumper?

Ah, father-in-law, is this the explanation of how a yank got interested in and came to appreciate Aussie Rules? How long have you lived in Australia, Stealth?

I thought about 3 but I don't think there is anything special about Aaron Henneman. Maybe one day we will see Joel running around in that number.

My in-laws didn't introduce me to the sport, but they were a big influence on me supporting Essendon. I had already had a passing interest in footy going back to the 1980s when they were a stable of late night cable television in the States, but I did not actually choose a team until I came here and saw the sport for myself. It was then that I saw the passion my girlfriend's (now my wife's) family had for Essendon and for football, and I wanted to be a part of that.

I also have an affinity for red and black, as many other teams I've supported in my life sport those colours.

Ironically, my wife herself didn't like footy that much. It took an American to show her the way :D

I have lived here for two months. However, I have spent a total of 2 months and 6 months here in years previous.

Predictably, I have #18....which sometimes I wish I didn't have, coz people see it and probably pass me off as the typical Essendon supporting chick. But hey. I love my Lloydy :) I guess it helps though, that I don't have a new jumper...mine's an old one, from like...before 99...with the old AFL logo and Speed Kills, so it kinda proves I didn't jump on in 2000 or something. Once had my mum's old jumper, and that had #18 also, but that was for Van Der Haar.

I would love to get another one though, and have either #11 or #14 on it. Go Pev and JJ  Would get rid of that stereotype of me too.
