Played most of junior footy in the ruck untill everyone out grew me. Ended up playing at CHB for the rest of junior footy. Senior footy sees me play Full Back and i love it. Full Back of the century!

All my junior football midfield half forward, still currently playing through wing and half forward in the A grade ammos..

Played 10 years of Junior Footy in Bendigo up until Under 18's in 95.
Covered most positions except R/RR, and FB/CHB/CHF
At my worst was a bench/emergency/drinks/boundary umpire.
At my best, a centreman.
Standard team, standard form seen me as a goal sneak FP/HFF with an occasional run on the ball.
I think I was best suited to a roving forward.
I still have some desire to get back on the field, in fact I have the urge now to rejoin the footy ranks.

Motion not carried, I forgot I have to train......

Played 2 years at College (in and around my soccer commitments) and one season about 4 years after that.

CHB/HBF mostly.

I'd be much better suited these days to chief orange peeler. :(

Up to Under 18's I used to play two games in a row. One in my age group and one the age group above. In mine I played the old Ruck Rover position and on the wing in the older group. They loved me in the older group because the umps favoured me (still don't know why) maybe because they knew I was young, and I got 2 or 3 goals a game sometimes from frees.

No wonder I copped my Goldspink Karma. :D

btw Isn't it funny when you look back. I won a few B&F's standing on my head and thought I would just end up playing at the Hawks. What a moron, I couldn't even get a game at Box Hill. Still remember going down there to train about 6 or 7 years ago (the same day Mitch first turned up) and seriously shitting myself. I will never forget Mitch that day because he was all alone like me and comparing myself to him made me realise I was the Zaphod Beeblebrox of footy and that surviving the Total Perspective Vortex meant nothing on a footy field ...

played mostly CHF and Ruck, retired 2 years ago at a broken down 33..... way too many injuries, made Dutchy look sound.

based my game around high marking and senseless violence.

HBF then moved to the centre, to small @ 5"10, love the guts:thumbsu:

I was the origional "ruckman who played like a midfielder" at 14 i was a 192cm ruckman, i would absolutly pants my counterpart around the ground to the point i either got rotating big men on me, or a midfielder to run with me

However the skills wernt much chop,i would of made rowan jones look like stuart dew

:thumbsu: Same here mate, and love the Douglas Adams reference. I played a bit of rep footy when I was younger in the centre with a few b&f's (hard to be modest when your typing ey?!), thought I was a chance to play AFL footy but then missed two seasons with back and hand injuries. Plus I'm lazy and unfit so never stood a chance anyway. My return (last year) saw me at 6'4ish" and I just really wasn't half the player I had been. Still, I got to play a full season under Paul Salmon, legend of a guy, and it was regardless the best season of my footy life.
Having a year off now in the UK but desperate to get back into it all ASAP. Do you still play now?

HBF here. Many years ago. I was to slow for my height or to short for my pace. Generally full of enthusiam but hindered by a serious lack of talent.

Leading FF in a very weak junior league in central Qld. Couldn't take a contested mark to save my life, but never found a FB I couldn't beat on the lead. Of course all the good footballers played league up there but I'd moved up from Melbourne. Haven't played since highschool though, and I'd be lucky to play FP these days at 5'10" or so.

Also played a few games with our terrible school side (most of the team hadn't played before, the same with the other school sides) so I'd just run where I wanted racking up possessions.

On-ball/wing, or small defender up until last year.
Now I play where ever I want - the joys of being a playing coach!
Funnily enough, I'm spending more time up forward now. ;)

CHB in primary school days, Ruck Rover in high school, kicked 9 straight one day in Vic. Moved to Qld @ 17. Played rest of career CHF/FF.Best record was 13.2 on the one day the planets were all aligned:).
