Yep a free kick and report should be automatic for the ones they pickup.

A fine these days does not do much for the players. Suspension seems overly harsh but then again if its something the AFL wants to get rid of, they could just make up a rule ala umpire contact.

No issue with there being no penalty. The embarrassment of looking like a pork chop and the umpire factoring your staging tendencies for all future contests is sufficient (see Puopolo).

Umpire saw it and commented on it so should have been a reversal there and then. Coach would have lost the plot and media would have been all over it. Wouldn’t hurry to do it again.

Cripps should be fined and forced to attend cultural sensitivity training for his use of the word bitch. Not appropriate in this day and age especially when the AFL are trying to expand the women's league and get more females involved in the game.
