Rodan's season over before it starts
Richmond midfielder David Rodan will be out of action for the entire AFL season after suffering a knee injury in a practice match against Essendon at the weekend.
The two-time club best and fairest winner tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and was taken from the field in the final quarter as the Tigers inflicted a 72-point shellacking on the hapless Bombers.
Rodan is expected to have surgery to reconstruct his knee later this week.
