Rewind to Anzac Day 2015 and it seemed like The Seed had finally realised his potential. The darling of the Big Footy board had finally delivered. Seven months later and he is no longer wearing the black and white stripes.

What went wrong?

Was he just not good enough? Did we give up on him too soon? Were there off field issues?

I'm not sure. I think after the ANZAC day game maybe teams knew he's one of the few that gives us run and made an extra effort to shut him down and Seedsman didn't have support in other runners or work hard enough to push through. His injury didn't help either.

I'm not sure on off field issues.

Way To Inconsistent.

Did Bucks say he did not do what he had to do to get the best out of himself?

It will be interesting to see how he goes at Adelaide. Can't help but feel we let him go too easily. The kid loved the Pies and showed that he can play on the big stage.

The hair gel cost him dearly.

A poor footballer who had one good game. Happens often. It's not like he was ever supposed to be good either, he was selected in the fifth round

Harsh.

He was not poor. He was average player with a very damaging Kick.

When no one is on him he can play like he did Anzacday but someone on him and he does nothing

Inconsistency.
Never wanted to lay tackles or get physical.
Injuries.
Didn't value his AFL chance at Collingwood.
Loved and still loves the piss.

And bogans like The Beams and Ovals influencing him.

Yep, a Pies nut like the rest of us, an the exact player we need overcomes hip issues then suddenly loses all motivation half way through the year and requests a trade. And it's all due to his softness, shitness and laziness..

It's like a comedy central here.

Sorry for the intrusion, but I thought it was footy folklore that Collingwood kind of hid him away somehow and that's why he lasted to the 5th round. Will stand corrected if wrong.

I really don't know what to expect from him this year, but I'm allowing him a clean slate. Was really surprised when I heard he was on the trade table.

You'll find out pretty quickly why he was on the trade table. He was told he'd be traded before the season had even ended.

Just my theory, but despite being very naturally and physically talented, he really was a very poor decision maker, especially when pressured.

That Anzac day game he had huge separation from his opponent, and thus had time to make some killer plays, but the games after when the opposition started to give him closer attention he really struggled, I can recall quite a few times where the Seed would panic and handball or kick it into the opponent or to a player that was under pressure.

Collingwood is a contested ball winning team, and as such, a player who strives in close like Aish is much better suited for our team than Seedsman, who I believe has a greater chance to flourish in a team striving for fast, counter attacking football such as Adelaide.

There were too many extreme weaknesses in his game.

Couldn't win his own ball, weak in 1 on 1 contests, couldn't defend.

All he could do is run fast and kick long (not all that accurately though). Poor man's Clint Young, and Young wasn't that great. He could look quite good if his teammates won lots of the ball and gave him some easy handballs.
