Witts was a classic at the 88/89 reunion this year. Hit the piss hard and his wife wasn't happy with him. Had a number of laughs with him. Good bloke.

He grew up in Cityview Rd Nth Balwyn.
Attended Xavier College before joining the Hawks.
Like many players at the time he had communication issues with Alan Joyce.
Their relationship turned sour after Chris was dropped for the 1991 Grand Final team after playing finals that year.
I remember seeing him drive out of the VFL Car Park at Half Time of the 1991 Grand Final.
Karen Inge the dietician at Hawthorn loved Witts.
Thought he was the cutest at the club which was pretty funny

That is the way I remember it, fell foul of Alan "it's always 1953" Joyce.
What a friggin' disaster it was ditching a genius like Jeans for an antiquated martinet like Joyce then having to watch him ruin the greatest Hawks team of all time.
