what's a group interview like?????????

I'm having an interview for a job in retail 2morrw morning and I'm very nervous cuz this one is a group interview..
any one know what the process is like?
how long do they normally go for?
shit i'm really scared !!!!

Prepare for some of the most condescending questiopns you'll ever hear.
If you were an animal what would you be and why?
I remember someone said a mexican walking fish or something because it's 'kooky'.
Hated it, the only advice I can give is smile, speak clearly and dont s****** at the stupider answers i.e. A Cheetah because I like the chips.

I think it's some sort of law. The Boring Ass Law or something.

And while we're on the subject, despite their total lack of imagination, they do not expect you to respond in kind. Experience tells me they're usually looking for something more than, for example -

"I was hungry. So on my lunchbreak, I ate."

I worked at a Coles for two years back in my youth...many moons ago...or was it?

At the end I was an observer for the interviews, the things we were told to look for were eye contact, clarity, energy and manners. To be honest if your well presented and can say your own name without coughing up a lung your half way there.

My final piece of advice...go into hospitality the second you can, great work for a student and much better pay than any retail store.

I had four interviews for my job; a group one, individual one, one over the phone and then a dual group one (same as a normal group - but just with like 20 people)

They are easy man. If you are in retail they MAY separate you into smaller groups of 3 or 4, give you a product or two and give you 20 seconds to think of ''how to sell this to a customer'' and what type of add-ons they can buy in the store as well.
