Watching My Kitchen Rules is making me want to get up on my soapbox today.

Jesus H Christ, it annoys me when people throw around words that describe serious mental illness like it's no big deal. I've been watching these chicks on this show describe themselves as "so OCD" about five times in a row.

From my point of view, if your hands were a bit shaky from too much coffee it'd be poor form to be all "ha ha, it's like I've got Parkinsons". You don't feel sick from too much Coke and say "lol, I'm such a diabetic". And being an organised person is so far from the actual life experiences of people with medically diagnosed obsessive-compulsive disorder that comments like that are just insulting.
