There's a tune I've heard a few times on Fox Sports during highlights packages of various sports.
It's just an instrumental electronic song and sounds a lot like the beat from the chorus of Kasabian's Fire.

That must be just an MCG thing, I've never heard them play Zorba the Greek at the WACA or any other cricket grounds I've been to.
Not sure on the proper statistics but I think Melbourne is the 3rd biggest Greek populated city in the world. Athens is 1st and I think theres another place in Greece thats 2nd.

Yeah I haven't been to any international matches this summer, they may have played it at the WACA as well for all I know.
Still seems a strange song to play, it's not like we're playing Greece.

Quality song.
It was played at the Adelaide Oval during the T20 final between SA and Victoria.
I remember thinking 'wtf? ...greek zorba at the cricket?'.
i reckon ive heard it on heaps of games on tv in the background. im assuming cricket australia had to buy the rights to songs to play them in a public arena, which is why they seemingly have the "cricket 2009-10 season" cd with the same bloody songs for every single bloody game.
this has been a clearly forgettable summer of cricket... but ill leave that for another thread.
