And if there was ever anything that Tiggy could win at, then this was it! Everyone of the other mascots all seem big, fat and cuddly while Tiggy is built like a whippet hound! Would have left them all in his wake.
Then again, Tigers are solitary creatures so this should be expected.

According to an article posted on PuntRoadEnd, old Tiggy has been Capuanoed and replaced by a new improved Tiggy, I think to be unveiled tonight. Could be wrong about the unveiling, but I guess we'll find out later.
I think this has been our problem all season - unrest in the mascot stakes. As soon as we clean out the deadwood and get a younger, fresher Tiggy, we'll start to win games.

As part of a sponsorship deal i was involved with at the club a few years back i was allowed one "use" of tiggy during the season.
Instaed of using the mascot i used the costume for a event.
Me in the tiggy outfit - the closet thing i have been to playing for us. Still one of the highlights of my life. (bloody hot in that get up it was)

The new tiggy is a great improvement on the old but boy is he soft as butter. Couldn't even break the banner .

Were Tiggy and Joel Bowden ever on the ground at the same time?
I don't know whether this is directly related, but I remember seeing the "old" Tiger mascot appearing on 'After the Game' a few months back, and he told the panel how he had been sacked by Richmond because they couldn't afford to pay him and decided to use a member of the cheersquad to save costs.
Hopefully the mascot problems are sorted out by the start of next season.
