What's the obsession with Van Berlo

Several members have VB in their user name. I've even read WCE supporters praise him beyond the performances I've seen. I think he's a promising youngster and has a great long kick but I feel I've missed a joke somewhere... Is it related to a previous thread on BF?

I'm not knocking VB but just don't understand the Van Berlo = God statements. Surely Stiffy is our brightest young star?

did you know that a football is tha shape that it is because VB kicked it and reshaped it, it was originally rounded like a soccer ball the only reason we were never told is because the so called "manafacturers" of the ball were frightened by VB message bank on his phone.

isnt it funny that VB is number 7 and when u look at that number it looks like a boomerang and I was thinking thats why the ball always comes back to him and finds the great ones arms!

I've read about half the Van Bible thread now. Funny stuff but I've read most of that stuff before in Mr T and Chuck Norris jokes. At least I now understand the obsession with VB.
