Alexander Stopp is a player who slipped through the cracks last draft. However, after a season in the SANFL he is ready to give it another crack and seems to have improved. He attended the 2009 screenings and surprised many with his aerobic skill, posting 15.9 (beating the draft camp record) in the beep test.

After spending 2007 with Norwood’s Under 17 team, followed by the SANFL Under 18 Academy Squad in 2008, Stopp played for Norwood in the SAFNL in 2009 and spent much of his time as a Centre Half Back or Full Back. He often got the task of shutting down the opposition’s main forward and held his own pretty well.
