Not me, haven`t seen enough of the lad to bag him.
Poeple bag him cos he couldn't force his way into the seniors often enough. From what i've heard, he didn't show much at VFL level. As a result, he'd rarely push for senior selection. I don't recall seeing his name in the emergencies much last season. He has had his injuries tho.

I have never bagged James but it was probably about time he was delisted, although we quite possibly will be picking him up again. He has been on the essendon list for a good 3 or so years now and has basically shown nothing. Theres always a possibility that things can change and he can turn it around and become a good player, but for me, he hasn't shown enough while at Essendon.

One good kick in his entire time in the seniors. He's had a few games, but he hasn't managed to grasp his opportunities.
I think because of the hoopla about him coming to Essendon - there was at least some expectation he would show some devolpment within 3 years.
Problems he has: Can;t find the footy, When he does get it, he tries to run through 10 tackles.
Basically he does not have a football brain at all - He's basically a Bolton except that Bolton has more talent and can find the footy.

So he gets bagged because he cant grasp opportunities and isnt the most talented of players who gets few kicks?
Geez, i'd hate to see you at an Under 12's game, you'd be calling them all hacks?
My bagging of him comes from questioning his desire to play for the club.
Having seen what he can do at training and in VFL games, he certainly has the ability, but, the work ethic worries me (as it did with McAllister).
Hopefully if we rookie him, he can learn about how much hard work need to be put in to make it.

Under 11s play the game for the fun and enjoyment they get out of it, and to learn about friendship and team spirit. Playing at that level is all about having a go, and the success of the team or the individual take a back seat to the overall experience (I help out at under 11 cricket quite often)
Professional footballers are paid a minimum of around $50,000 a year in the hope that they'll develop into something special, especially considering the expectation that comes with being picked up in the top 16 kids in the draft. It's their job.
James Davies just got fired. Hope we don't take him and he ends up in the whoop whoop football league with D-Mac.
