question for roylion cos he seems to be the only one who knows the rules:

What happens to the contracts of players who retire or are delisted in real life?

2 examples being:

Essendon has Whitnall signed for 2 years but he has been delisted. Assuming he doesnt get picked up what happens?

or

East Coast have Shane Parker signed for 2 years but hes retired, what happens to his contract?
