We have earned the right to play a home final at Punt Rd.
When they nominate the G, we should all cry and moan like cats fans

And with the Pies playing Freo and Hawks playing the Swans at the SCG, do you really think that combo of results is actually at all realistic?Hawks only 0.2 percent behind Pies. Say pies win by 20, Gawks win by 35-40, their positions will change. Probably even less than those margins

Why Thursday, Tugga? It will be a Thursday night.
Given we will probably be playing Collingwood, they SHOULD schedule it for Friday night.
I would prefer Saturday night personally.
That’s a ghastly thought. Definitely best to choose ‘Best Available’ for that ticket sale and no stuffing around trying to get seats in your preferred area of the ground if the matchup does eventuate. It’s all pointing towards a high possibility of a Richmond v Collingwood Prelim.
Tickets will be at a premium. Although having said that I can see the pies beating West Coast in Perth, there is just something about them that reminds me of us in that they all have a crack right down to the 22nd bloke, stick steadfastly to their roles and actually really believe in what they’re doing.
Collingwood could tank against freo giving them a MCG qf against us or a MCG elimination against 8th. They might prefer this than going to Perth first week. Can’t see it happening though. Hawks v Sydney is the key match. At this point you’d think it would be Sydney as favourites leaving a Rich v Syd qf. It will be a Thursday night game. Just hope that cheat Chamberlain isn’t in charge after what he did to us the last time we played them.I think we would play the winner of Hawthorn vs Sydney. Collingwood would probably smash Fremantle by more than
what Hawthorn would beat Sydney I'd say, leaving them 4th.
Whether you like the bloke or not Buckley is most definitely not the type to play with form leading into finals. He’s like Dimma in that respect. Collingwood will go into next weeks game fully intending to beat Fremantle and beat them well.Collingwood could tank against freo giving them a MCG qf against us or a MCG elimination against 8th. I like Bucks. He showed good humour and class last year when he was under massive pressure. Unlike a lot of their supporters he is a good winner and loser. I think your right about them wanting to win as well.Whether you like the bloke or not Buckley is most definitely not the type to play with form leading into finals. He’s like Dimma in that respect. I'm almost certain our first final won't be Thursday night. Sure, the 1st v 4th QF was on Thursday last year, but the year before it was the 6th v 7th EF. It's an SA/WA thing, not a 1st thing. It will be a Thursday night.

Friday night at 7:25/7:50 vs The Pies would be a 100k crowd.
If they put us on a Thursday night I’d be sickened.
Much rather Hawthorn then Sydney, Sydney is looking strong leading into finals and unlike Collingwood who is seen as a threat has beaten finals teams.hawks are horrible

Dees just need one big win to make them believe. will come today. Not sold on the swans tho.Beat the pies at home the dees who a useless and gws that is a derby game always goes anyway. They a very slow. And it's our home game.

I’m pretty sure 7 will demand Thursday night instead of Sunday. The Thursday game isn’t an issue for rest coming out of round 23 because of the bye week and having everything wrapped up by Saturday night gives the EF winner who plays Saturday instead of Sunday a little extra break.Same. have booked flights that get me in Friday so would be a touch unhappy if we were scheduled Thursday - am trying to remember where I read it but thought this series was going to be Fri Sat Sun, however the fixture still says Sept 6 - 9.
I actually think Lions are a shot and IMO should be favourites.I’m pretty sure 7 will demand Thursday night instead of Sunday. Just looking at next week, I think our best case is:
Hawks d Swans
Pies d Dockers
Lions d Eagles
That would push WCE into 4th spot (Sydney beating the Hawks would keep the Eagles third on percentage). I know them losing to the Lions is a long shot, but stranger things have happened.
