When we were hot hot hot in that first half I'd like to say that Eddy was explosive in the middle.

He dished it out and got it out when centre clearances mattered. That was my feeling live at the game - I'm yet to watch the replay.

Just sayin'.... time to take notice of Eddy. He 'aint ****ing around.

Peace out.

Just needs to be less fancy when it comes to passing by foot and go for the percentages.

No way. He makes it happen a bit like Stevie J. I like how unpredictable he is.

Edwards, King, McGuane are making a lot of us (including me) eat some serious humble pie. Most improved tigers this year by a streak. Having said that, they MUST produce against the big boys and not be flat track bullies.

Eddy was very good against Geelong too. I think he's consistently performing well week to week but perhaps not over 4 quarters.

A magician is probably the right description for him.

I'll keep it simple..from the moment i first saw edwards play i thought this kid is goin to be a gun...it was the way he moved it was cat like..will get MUCH better ...he is close to an A grader.... An absolute jet..

That extra 5 or 6 kgs he's put on over the last couple of years have done him wonders. He isn't getting knocked off the ball so easily anymore, not to mention he's impacting contests a lot harder.

that pass to Vlastuin for his first goal was magic. Three power players around him but was to his advantage and took the mark. Nice.
Saw him do pretty much the same kick from the same spot a few weeks ago. Certainly is magical to watch

He was, as was King (20 touches, 4 goals) and McGuane played his role too.

It's funny how on here, the less decorated players are expected to perform at their highest level every single game and not drop in output even slightly between a game against Melbourne and a game against Geelong. Whereas the highly rated players are allowed to have a down game or 2, and if they have 40 touches against the Dees but only 20 against the Cats it's fine.

King, McGuane etc are really pushing shit up hill with our supporter base.

I have always loved Shane. It must have been about 4 years ago now when he had his first good year of the half back flank. I remember he was playing loose man in defence once he and just stood under this high ball for about 3 or 4 seconds, and then got cannoned into the back by Hawkins and Ottens - didn't flinch.

I watched the replay yesterday though, and he didn't have his best game.

In reality we need two of him. Edwards the inside mid, and Edwards the goal sneak.

He is still a poor kick most of the time then. Purely a hands man :D

Has improved a lot throughout the last 2 years to become a genuine no brainer selection. His kicking is so bad though. He should be working on that as first priority.

I would have said all three were in the best against Geelong.... Maybe it the big boys that need to produce against the big boys...

Edwards performance on the ball is good enough to look at keeping Deledio out of the middle which seemed to be how we played it on Saturday and it worked a treat. Quick kicks and lightning handballs are all you need in the middle nowadays with the intense pressure.

Edwards would have to be close to leading our B&F. Havent seen him play a poor game yet. His hands in close are so quick. Some of the little quick gives he has given this year have been awesome.
