Should have been AA the year Hibberd was IMO.Yep. Jetta 2017-2018 was a legitimate elite shut down defender.

Aaron would be Flower's adopted poor nephew.Davey's best was amazing, could turn a game by himself. Tingay would be an all time great if he stayed fit.
Flower could handball either hand, on the move, whist dodging traffic, and then blind-turn and snap the goal from the boundary.Flower will always be the best I've seen. Was only a young fella, but he was the most skilful player I've ever seen in the Red n blue. I'd rate my top 10 as the following...
1. Flower
2. Neitz
3. Trac
4. Gawn
5. Oliver
6. Stynes
7. Lyon
8. Jones
9. Jakovich
10. Schwartz
The Ox at his best, was the only player who you would consider near equal to Flower.Yes
I was just waiting for someone, ANYONE to mention the Ox.
at his peak, he was undoubtably the best forward in the game and at one point statistically more consistent than the Duck.
Lyon kicked 10 goals but and you could argue Schwarz was better and best on ground, at the peak of his powers.
Pretty sure reading this board that Oliver is a stat padding turn over merchant, Trac is meh and hasn't Gawn retired
Oh yeah and sack Goodwin, can't coach
Reckon they were super close but Whelan did those awesome rugby tackles where he'd clamp the top of a guys legs and just ******* tip them and murder them. Would be 4 weeks a piece these days.Nev > Whelan imo
Would have been de registered for his hits on Ball and Hird. Ball especially because of the way he looked after itReckon they were super close but Whelan did those awesome rugby tackles where he'd clamp the top of a guys legs and just ******* tip them and murder them. Would be 4 weeks a piece these days.
That’s because there aren’t many star ruckman over the years. Plenty of star forwards. Easier to be a star FF than a star ruckmanWinning a flag with a bog ruckman happens far more often than it does without a gun forward. You could argue Fritch was our FF that day also. I said FF, not KPF.
Chandler below Dan Nicholson is just plain rude, JK. When Nicholson kicked the ball, it felt like he was LARPing his own version of Black Hawk Down, such was the horizontal rotation of the thing.Had a crack at ordering all the players I’ve seen play since 1993. Ducks

Maybe its time for another Melbourne player phantom draft.I was expecting that list to stop at 10, then 20 , then I said there is no way Johnny went beyond 50...but then I just kept scrolling and scrolling
BIG TIME.Maybe its time for another Melbourne player phantom draft.
Sign me up. Could be a good activity for the bye week (or whenever, really).BIG TIME.
I've been thinking about this. Really enjoyed the last one, and in hindsight would have made many selections differently. Very many player in the current generation would also seem more appealing.
Would people be interested in this?

So I was recently perusing the St. Kilda supporters' board (I have taken a passing interest in their process since the great Stephen Powell), and saw this thread. Hi all. You may be aware that some of us have been participating in a draft in this thread. Over the last two months, two hundred players have been selected to form eight squads of twenty-five. Hello, friends. I've spent the last several months meticulously analysing the vibe of this board, and I've concluded that there's something missing. Something big. Something exciting. Something like a re-draft game of Melbourne Football Club players from the years 1990-2020 inclusive. In fact...www.bigfooty.comVOTING THREAD: MFC 1990-2020 Re-draft | WINNER REVEALED
Hello, dear friends. As you may know, eight of our most loveable posters have over the last month participated in a re-draft of Melbourne Football Club players. And it's been heaps of fun. HEAPS. OF. FUN. To be eligible for selection, players had to have debuted for Melbourne between 1990...www.bigfooty.com
Can we make it a reverse draft involving mediocre players?BIG TIME.
