I loathe to start threads, but....I am having a "yeah, rebuild year" sad night, so I thought I would look back at some highlights of the last few years (mainly 2010 & 2011). The main thing I saw was we now have a lack of loving footy. The players do not seem to love the game they are playing (are they crazy?), our only ex player on another team that still seems to love it is Chris Dawes....Otherwise I am not seeing the beautiful, team moments that I saw in 2010/2011.
I am a COMPLETE BUCKLEY LOVER, and a mild Malthouse fan (maybe despiser) ....so my post is not about this.

One of my fav videos ever....thanks Mars!

I still remember listening to Jack Thompson's version on the radio the morning after we lost to Richmond in the 1980 grand final. It was at that time I realised what it truly means to barrack for the Pies.

I love football. I love the aesthetics of football. I love the athleticism of football. I love the movement of the players, the antics of the coaches. I love the dynamism of the fans. I love their passion for their badge and the colour of their team and their country. I love the noise and the buzz and the electricity in the stadium. I love the songs. I love the way the ball moves and then it flows and the way a teams fortune rises and falls through a game and through a season. But what I love about football that it brings people together across religious divides, geographic divides, political divides. I love the fact that for ninety minutes in a rectangular piece of grass, people can forget hopefully, whatever might be going on in their life, rejoice in this communal celebration of humanity. The biggest diverse, invasive or pervasive culture that human kinds knows is football and I love the fact that at the altar of football human kind can come worship and celebrate.

Watching all the inner sanctum footage and pictures throughout the year and hearing the word out of the club, this is the tightest the club has ever been.

I see passion as much ever and am very bullish about the future.

But yeah i find myself watching heaps of 2010/11 youtube videos every other week, it gets more enjoyable every time.

Agree, we could do with a new show pony, as our current one (Fas) is struggling to get on the paddock. Hine should add that to the list. Then we can all complain that he is not a team player, is soft, doesnt do the hard yards, etc. We haven't been able to complain about that for a while.

This quote is about soccer. I can't express how much it has bothered me since I first read it. Who the hell is Andy Harper? Is he one of those stage divers? While I'm here, I'd like to say that people who say that their second team is totenham hotasses annoy me as well. My favourite soccer team is the one that went down in that plane years ago..

Just give me 4 points. Show pony might impress kids but at the end of day all we want to see is basic footy but guys like Fasolo celebrating at half time.

I would like to see you say that in Manchester.

What is Love?

Baby dont hurt me...dont hurt me...no more...

no no.... it's
What's wrong with the world, mama
People livin' like they ain't got no mamas
I think the whole world addicted to the drama
Only attracted to things that'll bring you trauma

Overseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin'
In the USA, the big CIA
The Bloods and The Crips and the KKK

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love, the love, the love

i'm just looking at the footy and some apple commercial comes on and talks about chicken fat..... wtf? What has chicken fat got to do with computers?

These sorts of commercials are spoiling my viewing pleasure...
Perhaps they were trying to say 2k worth of chicken fat holds as much value as an Apple computer.

They wanted the tone of the song but really messed it up with picking one with those lyrics, it's shocking.
