I agree that he is one of our most important players.

I don't think he is indecisive but he has an awkward running style that makes it look like he is in a panic everytime he gets the footy. He is actually very accomplished on both sides of his body.

The sooner he is back in the team the better we will be.

I don't think its his running style, I think the reason he looks like he is in a panic is his grimace when running with the ball and constantly checking around him for opposition lol. Which is a good thing. I rate him highly, love to see him come back and provide some run down the middle, or side or anywhere.

I'd go in the complete opposite direction...the most under rated. Contests hard, rarely beaten when fit, never shirks, good temperament, takes the game on, generally does something constructive, structurally important and allows other backs to play their preferred roles. What more do you want from a young backman?

Kicking penetration and strong hands....

I heard he caught the Yarran illness and has returned to WA

The one thing i like is that the club isn't rushing him back. The 2nd half of last year Bower was playing with an injury and could barely run at the end of the year, so let him have his time, he is young, thisyear will be tough, gives other a chance to step up or prove themselves.

How good will it be when our best backline is actually playing.

Jamo, Bower, Waite, Thorton, Austin & Army/AJ/Scotland

I don't like this bullshit, if he is injured his quad that is minimum three weeks up to 6 given the severity. Carlton did this last year as well, who did you think their fooling themselves only.

Why do they do that, supporters just get more frustrated given our form also.

Ratten seems to living in the nineties when he played, he drops Waite and Thornton. When their is no BOWER and or Austin, very risky move given the importance of the game. Play Waite in one position CHB ,he is just come of a knee. Allow Thornton to go forward, shows lateral thinking. Good luck boys.

I have no confidence tommorow especially if Tippet plays!!

It will be even better when our new players like White and Davies get game time and develop. We need to build depth in our backline to cover injury and form loss.

He is good at getting easy kicks and chipping the ball around the backline, he is indecisive and has not taken on or taken out any top forwards. I think Jamieson has much more dash than Bower, I guess time will tell.

Sounds like your describing Thorton - easy kicks and chipping the ball around. As for Jamison, he is great defender but more your close checking, give em nothing defender.

Bower imo has more dash than any of our defenders, has great closing speed on opponents, and can spoil effectively as well as be an attacking defender.

Bower and Jamison are clearly our 2 best defenders. Without them we struggle as we found out last year with Jamo out and this year with Bower on the sidelines.
