Don't get me wrong love Adelaide. Mother in law lives there, just spent two weeks at the Brighton Caravan Park. A great spot. I live in Central Victoria and have been to Adelaide more times than Melbourne in the last 20 years. Just love the Adelaide jokes.
Grew up in central Vic (and Melbourne as a younger lad) but love permanently in Adelaide now. I like Adelaide a lot, but that will never, ever stop me from making fun of it at every opportunity.

I advocated driving towards the Vic border each time my wife went into labour just to have the birth on the "correct" side of the border lol

Only been to Adelaide a couple of times, seemed to be a very nice place to live.

Not sure i could get through the summer as it gets very hot there.
Yeah it can get pretty ridiculous. Last couple of years haven't been too bad though. In fact, last summer was so wet and mild that my lawn stayed green the whole time without me watering it at all. Normally it goes through a normal cycle of dying right off in summer and then re-growing in winter.

Starchamber was a very prolific poster years ago who loved to post unhinged rants, derail threads, share nonsensical views (that were sometimes hilarious) and generally drive mods to distraction.
Also had terrible spelling and grammar. I’ll never forget his “Not all delisted is spuds” thread.

Sounds like we need him back.

They certainly seem to have crazy hot weather in the summer. The part i would have difficulty in coping with is that it doesnt cool down much overnight. It would be mid 40s during the day and still be 30 overnight.

Every brain fart deserved it’s own thread too, would require the whole thing to be shut down and moved to the existing appropriate thread.

Mod numbers have halved since he left

Many moons ago, bought and sold a property in Glenelg

Should have hung onto it, beautiful spot back then
Still a beautiful but busy spot.
